I don’t know about you—but I have a love affair with food. It’s a love affair that brings me a great deal of pleasure—but could be deadly. Too many calories, too many carbs can lead to obesity and heard disease.
Wouldn’t it be great if we knew more about the food we eat in our homes? That’s the idea behind Panasonic’s CaloRieco – It’s a countertop device. Just put in the food you are planning to consume into the CaloRieco and using “ nfa-red technology" the CaloRieco reveals the food’s Calories, Protein, Fat and Carbohydrate info. It all appears on its screen in seconds—and then saves the information for the future.
Whether it’s store bought food or Grandma’s Homemade Honey Apple Pie—you finally know what you’re about to eat.
So will the CaloRieco end my love affair with food? I doubt it. BUT I think it will certainly give me “food for thought.”
