IoT Town

IoT Town 2017 is the area where leaders of diverse industries will gather to announce new ideas for innovative business models and establish new partnerships to collaborate between use and demand to realize Society 5.0, which is based on the theme of, “Solving Social Issues to Build Society 5.0”. Highlights of IoT Town 2017 will range from conventional booth exhibits to conferences held by industry leaders based on themes such as Fintech, Smart Homes, and regional revitalization, as well as the publishing and distribution of special booklets on the Society 5.0. Making available services and products provided by these industry leaders moving towards Society 5.0, IoT Town 2017 is a must-see area where diverse partnerships and collaborations for the future can be experienced firsthand.

Real 2020 Showcase

The strength of technology and how important it is to enhance expectations for the year 2020 will be highlighted at the Real 2020 Showcase. Areas with special themes comprising the near-future society will be introduced and in addition to booth exhibits, featured technologies that are expected as we move toward 2020 will be showcased by presentations and demonstrations.
In this area, there will be a focus on areas such as the Region Revitalization/Strategic Special Zone and Smart Factory, which are important elements for enhancing society in the near future.

Special exhibits by leading AI companies will introduce the latest in AI platform technologies including deep learning, natural language processing, and image analysis as well as the application of the aforementioned technologies in the fields of agriculture, healthcare, medical, and marketing. Additionally, the AI Conference by CEATEC x AIST will be held at the International Conference Hall on Oct. 4 (Wed.) and 5 (Thu.).

A new area devoted to international startup companies (including ventures still in incubation) and entities striving to expand globally will be established.
During CEATEC JAPAN 2017, in addition to the exhibits by startup companies, presentation sessions by participating startup companies and networking events will also be held.

Cooperation byU.S. Embassy

CEATEC JAPAN is considered as a certified event of the Trade Fair Certification Program of the United States Department of Commerce International Trade Admission. This year, in addition to participation by exhibitors from the USA, a number of conferences will also be held by US firms concerning the themes of AI and cyber security.

In recognition of a population of 1.3 billion people and its remarkable economic growth rate, CEATEC JAPAN will establish a special area for startup companies and small- to medium-scale firms from India. During the show, conferences and networking events by Indian firms will be held. The India Showcase will be a great opportunity to interact with a number of growing Indian companies.

Venture & University Area

A Venture & University Area will be established to introduce startup venture companies that develop and offer products, technologies, and services related to CPS/IoT. Here, university institutions researching related products, technologies, and services will also have the opportunity to present them on stage.
In addition to the exhibits, a Mini Stage will be setup in the area to conduct promotional sessions by startup companies and university research institutions to generate business opportunities for the participants.

The committee will initiate various programs related to cultural activities, technology, and innovation based on the slogans of “All Japan”, and “Toward & Beyond 2020 – for the Japan’s Next Generation.”

Recovery is one of the central themes of the 2020 Olympics/Paralympics and with the cooperation of the All Japan Business Committee for the Olympics/Paralympics, companies that were severely affected by the Tohoku and Kumamoto earthquakes will be invited to participate in this zone.

This year’s theme will center on Workstyle and how through the use of leading-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, we can shape a new way in the era of digitization. Excellent Hackathon teams and a dozen venture startup companies are expected to participate in the event and display exhibits.

One JAPAN a platform for young volunteer groups of large companies One JAPAN is where groups of volunteers from large companies gather, share ideas, get inspired, find hope and get involved. The participants create opportunities to make challenges, vitalize organizations, and perform activities to enhance communities.
New business developments developed via co-creation and collaboration among the participating organizations and inter-/intra-company projects will be presented and exhibited at the venue.
NoMaps

Planning Cooperation byNoMaps Executive Committee

Cooperating internationally with the latest creative business networking to be held simultaneously in Sapporo, No Maps will hold business tie-up seminars at CEATEC JAPAN. Recipients of the Special Award from CEATEC INNOVATIN AWARDS “As Selected by US Journalists” will be invited to the No Maps Conference Program to generate new interaction between concerned parties.
Innovation Talk Stage

The importance of co-operation between exhibitors and user-or partner-companies, and success stories will be introduced via a mixture of talk shows, interviews, and panel discussions focusing on the keywords of “Connecting” and “Creating”, which are integral elements of the overall CEATEC JAPAN exhibition theme.
