Smart Hydrogen Station
The future of transportation will require re-thinking everything we've come to know and assume. This includes not only what we're driving, but how those things are being driven. We'll need new ways to power our cars and motorcycles and scooters, and Honda showed off a comprehensive system to store excess power. Honda's Smart Energy Storage Management system turns electricity and water into hydrogen, which can be pumped directly into a Clarity fuel cell car. Or, the hydrogen could be fed to a fuel cell and used to charge another Honda innovation, the Mobile Power Packs. This is a comprehensive vision for the future that's coming soon, and so I'm honored to present Honda with the Transportation award for its Smart Energy Storage Management system.
