Living-body radar using microwave

Comment on the selection

It’s a fact: When you have elderly or a newborn in your home, it’s impossible to personally continuously monitor them at all hours of the day. One indicator of trouble is location and position. For example, if an elderly person has fallen and needs help, a baby is lying down yet hasn’t moved. Time is critical when an incident occurs. Even more so in “private” areas that can’t be easily monitored, such as the restroom, or behind the privacy of closed doors. Using a wireless microwave technology, Panasonic’s Living Body Radar can monitor residents without requiring any intrusive camera or on-body monitors. Quick, actionable event alerts can be provided wirelessly and instantly, over a wide area, possibly saving lives. Other applications of this product include wirelessly monitoring an area for movement, and specifically where that movement has come from, without requiring expensive camera image processing. The Living Body Radar is another shining example of Panasonic's passion for furthering the next generation of family safety and security.
