[SP-11-3] Special SessionRemember back just a few short years ago? Networks were comprised of many, different enabling technologies: land line voice, over-air-TV and over-cable TV, fax machines, pagers and many other hard wired pieces strung together a network. Each part had benefits and growth demands but each had its own limitations, management requirements and problems. Networks are changing, converging; Discrete systems are disappearing. Today, the network looks very different. We’re seeing a shift in creating the feasible to meaningful technology. Networks may be better described as application platforms that are delivered either fixed or wirelessly. The fact is, most networks have both fixed connectivity and wireless connectivity already. And we believe that all applications will at some point run through the wired and the wireless network. This is a vision of our connected and converged world where delivery of network services needs to be increasingly more efficient to manage and implement.
In this presentation, CommScope will discuss the evolution of networks and the key technical and business challenges facing us today as we connect our societies. From its beginning, CommScope has played a role in virtually all the world's best communication networks. We create the infrastructure that connects people and technologies through every evolution. Our portfolio of end-to-end solutions includes everything our customers need to build high-performing wired and wireless networks. As much as technology changes, our goal remains the same: to help our customers create, innovate, design, and build faster and better.

[SP-11-4] Special SessionDisruption is fundamentally changing the way the world works. Today’s businesses, government and individuals are responding to shifts that would have seemed unimaginable even a few years ago. IoT and Big data analytics are reshaping the industries and its business value proposition. Artificial intelligence and robotics are reinventing the workforce. Drones and driverless cars are transforming supply chains and logistics. And changing preferences and expectations - most notably in the millennial generation - are altering consumption patterns and demand for everything from cars to real estate. As people are becoming less afraid of disruption and more accepting of its inevitability, the better question becomes: How do you seize the upside of disruption?

[CO-8] Conference SponsorWith the & HS Method & the cost and time needed to develop English/multi-language technical documentation can be lowered by 30% through the use of machine translation.
However, to achieve this, it is not enough to simply incorporate content management (CMS) and machine translation (MT) systems. What is more crucial is the structure of the translation source, the design of the whole process, and how the systems were chosen. & With 150 companies worth of experience in document usage/management consulting, Human Science will share its expertise from its continued use of the & HS method.
