Since its founding, Alps Electric has supplied around 40,000 types of electronic component to over 2,000 manufacturers of home appliances, mobile devices, automobiles and industrial equipment, allowing us to identify market and technological trends.
We deliver optimal product by responding quickly and appropriately to customer and market requirements. A current focus as we look to support the creation of a low-carbon, digital society is the development of power-efficient green device.
Other functional components
Power generator switch
We exhibit power generator switch which can send on/off information without using wiring and the battery. It generates by electromagnetic induction by one push each time, and built-in communication module sends information. It does not need the wiring or battery exchange and is longer life by waterproofing, protection against dust mechanism.
The exhibition introduces the function where long-term continuous use is assumed in displaying it. By using iPad application, we propose using this product for management of a medicine shelf, etc.
Other functional components
Epistemic Cockpit
The Epistemic Cockpit presents a next-generation input device for vehicles.
The cockpit assists in-car equipment operation by predicting driver behavior from sensing data, for example the detection of gaze. Gesture input in the space in front of the control panel allows intuitive control.
RF motion and capacitive sensing technology are also combined to enable non-contact monitoring of the driver's heartbeat and breathing. This acts to prevent unexpected accidents, contributing to driving safety.
The cockpit demonstrates an integrated solution by Alps Electric to enhance driving comfort by linking these features and various other devices.
Other power source-related items
A DC-DC converter (reference model) using a current sensor and Liqualloy reactor developed by Alps Green Devices. Compactness of one tenth the size of existing DC-DC converters of the same type was achieved through joint development with Rohm Co., Ltd. and Myway Plus Corporation. As a hub for systems, information devices and home appliances, connected to power generation and storage systems, electric/plug-in hybrid/hybrid vehicles or inverters, they will contribute to realization of energy management systems.
