Opto Sensors and Lighting product
TSL4531 - Digital Day-lighting Sensor
TCS3472 - Digital Color Light Sensor
At CEATEC ams will highlight "Cognitive Lighting": ombining ambient light sensors with a "tunable white" feature that adjusts to the most suitable daytime requirements. This will be demonstrated through a flat light LED luminaire which is controlled by an ams ambient light sensor and a color sensor.
AS3630
8A photo flash driver dramatically improves picture quality of smartphone cameras.
The new AS3630 can drive up to 8A current through an LED flash system, enabling mobile phone cameras to take pin-sharp images.
AS3649
Brighter, clearer images from mobile phone cameras as ams introduces intelligent flash LED driver.
TMD3990
Next generation mobile couponing / Mobeam Barcode Beaming Technology.
ams has included the mobeam 1D barcode transmit technology into the TMD3990 optical sensor module. This module solution combines color light sensing; proximity detection and an integrated IR LED, and is the same proximity IR LED used in smartphones today for disabling touchscreen displays. Enabling smartphone vendors to differentiate with a turn-key mobile couponing solution, without the need for additional components, accelerates mobile commerce applications which use barcodes including coupon redemption, loyalty cards, gift cards, and tickets, enabling consumers ease and simplicity of mobile transactions at tens of millions of point-of-sales (POS) laser scanners worldwide.

AS8506 Balancer Demo
Cell Monitor and Balancer IC for Li-Ion cell stacks.
The AS8506 features simultaneous cell voltage comparison with upper and lower threshold, active- or optionally passive cell balancing by simultaneous comparison of actual cell voltages with a target cell voltage. This Demo shows the AS8506's ability to operate without a microcontroller and firmware. In this case it is balancing 7 cells completely autonomous.
AS5403
Absolute 3D Position Sensor IC.
Magnetic Position Sensor (Steering) demo.
The steering demo shows 3D Hall Sensor features for steering wheel position sensing. The demo shows an exact an linearized angle. Furthermore it also has the capability to remember the turns (multi-turn), even when after power down and up. The demonstrated benefits include the redundant approach which makes this system perfect for safety critical applications like steerig. In addition it convinces through low power consumption and very easy integration on the steering shaft. Even if the power is complete down and up again you won't see any position lost, this means the position can be remembered by the system.
AS5403
Absolute 3D Position Sensor IC
Magnetic Position Sensor (Pedal)demo.
The pedal demo shows 3D Hall Sensors features for pedal position sensing. It shows how exact and linearized the position is measured in this pedal application.

Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) IC and Wireless IC
AS3953 (High Speed Passive Tag Interface)
The AS3953 NFC interface IC (NFiC) delivers low cost, ultra-low power NFC forum functionality to multiple different applications. The AS3953 is an analog front-end with integrated 14443A data framing and SPI interface. It is designed to create a fast data link between an ISO 14443A reader device (PCD) and a microcontroller. The AS3953 is passively powered meaning that it can be supplied from the PCD magnetic field, eliminating the need of a continual external supply. This makes the AS3953 perfect for wireless communication to a low power battery powered device.
AS3911(Integrated NFC Initiator / HF Reader IC)
The AS3911 is a highly integrated NFC Initiator / HF Reader IC. It includes the analog front end (AFE) and a highly integrated data framing system for ISO 18092 (NFCIP-1) initiator, ISO 18092 (NFCIP-1) active target,ISO 14443 A and B reader (including high bit rates)and Felica reader.Implementation of other standard and custom protocols is possible through using the AFE and implementing framing in the external microcontroller (transparent mode).
AS3430(Active Noise Cancellation IC)
enhance speech and/or music listening comfort by reducing ambient noise.
The ams ANC portfolio provides industry's lowest BOM cost and low power consumption through a high level of functional integration. With an extensive set of development tools and comprehensive documentation, ams ANC products enable rapid prototyping and system optimization, simplifying development and reducing time to market
