Company Introduction

eJigen Inc. was founded on January 2013 as a start-up from Yokohama National University.
the initial product "Virtual Humanoid" was developed besed on the work of Researcher Michihiko Shoji at Venture Business Laboratory, YNU.

Virtual Humanoid

We are pleased to be demonstrating a robot system called "Virtual Humanoid"!
It is an augmented reality system which consists of a real robot, a head mounted display with a video camera, and a computer generated character. It enables you to talk with and virtually interact with the character of your choice. At the moment, and for the duration of the exhibition, we are limited to showing only one character, but under normal circumstances there are a range of characters to choose from.
The original talking avatar program is "MMD Agent", developed and released by Nagoya Institute of Technology in 2012. We have added 2 functions:the first makes the virtual characters drawn by MMD Agent synchronize with a real robot, and the second function shows augmented reality scenes which make you feel that the real character IS in front of you, the physical robot is transformed!
