Hailo, an AI chipmaker, has developed a specialized deep learning processor that delivers unprecedented performance to edge devices. Hailo’s AI processor is built with an innovative architecture that enables edge devices to run sophisticated deep learning applications, that could previously run only on the cloud. Hailo's processor, the Hailo-8™, is optimized for deep learning workloads and is specified as a "new type of processor."
A single Hailo-8™ processor features up to 26 tera operations per second (TOPS) and significantly outperforms all other edge processors with area and power efficiency far superior to other leading solutions by a considerable order of magnitude – all at a size smaller than a penny, including the required memory.
Hailo’s holistic solution completely rethinks the traditional pillars of embedded computer architecture – memory, control, compute and the relations between them and incorporates a key, comprehensive Software Development Kit (SDK) co-developed with the hardware.
Hailo's breakthrough processor technology serves deep learning applications in a wide range of markets including automotive, smart cities, smart home, smartphones, drones, virtual assistants, AR/VR platforms, and wearables.
