Catalu JAPAN Co., Ltd. develops and operates the platform “Catalu Space” that connects manufacturers and craftsmen to stores.
What we want to solve is the problem that manufacturers and craftsmen have a good product, but there is no opportunity for many people to know the product. In order to wholesale products to a store, a certain amount of production is required, but small and medium-sized manufacturers do not have the production capacity to meet them. Also, even if manufacturers create an EC site and sell products directly to consumers, they tend to have a hard time attracting customers to the EC site itself. There is a distance between the manufacturer and the consumer. Therefore, we create opportunities for for consumers who visit the stores to learn about products by displaying the products in the space of urban stores. This help create real contacts between manufacturers and consumers. In order to achieve this system, we provide a platform “Catalu Space” that matches stores that want to rent idle spaces, such as shelves and cashiers, and manufacturers who want to display products. Next to the products on display, NFC / QR codes will be installed to guide interested consumers online, such as EC sites, information sites.
