Z-Wave Alliance Hosts Member Pavilion at CEATEC 2017
As IoT adoption grows in Asia, Alliance members will demonstrate the latest IoT devices working together in the Z-Wave ecosystem
October 3-6, 2017 – CEATEC Japan – Booth S051-01 – The Z-Wave Alliance, a global membership organization dedicated to advancing the popular Z-Wave wireless smart home protocol, will host the Z-Wave Pavilion at CEATEC Japan starting today. Seven Alliance member companies will demonstrate their latest Z-Wave compatible smart home devices and showcase their IoT solutions in the Z-Wave Pavilion.
The Z-Wave Alliance now has over 600 global member companies and a certified device portfolio surpassing 2100 Z-Wave certified devices in the market. At CEATEC, the Z-Wave Pavilion will demonstrate how devices from different manufacturers work together using the Z-Wave standard to create an interoperable ecosystem of products. The smart home market is estimated to reach $115 billion by 2030, accounting for 30 percent of the global market share, with top markets including Japan and China, according to a 2017 report released by global management consulting firm A.T. Kearney.
“There is tremendous opportunity for the smart home across Asia and the strength of the Z-Wave ecosystem in the United States and across Europe serves as a proof point for its ability to succeed in Asian markets,” said Mitchell Klein, the Z-Wave Alliance’s Executive Director. “At CEATEC, Alliance members will demonstrate the interoperability among Z-Wave solutions and showcase upcoming technology available to this burgeoning market.”
