Yoshinaga laboratory of the University of Electro-Communications and TIS Corporation of TIS Intec Group announced that they have developed "Light-weight distributed cooperative caching technology for large-volume content delivery" through their collaborative research project.
It efficiently reduces the Internet traffic which has been increasing due to the popularization of large-volume contents such as 4K / 8K videos and VR contents.
Our network simulation showed that our cooperative cache technology could reduce up to 85% of the Internet traffic in a backbone network in Japan.
