New Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation (MCC) has just started as of April 2017, per integration of legacy Mitsubishi Chemical, Mitsubishi Rayon and Mitsubishi Plastics. In April 2010, MCC’s epoxy resins business has originally launched by merger of Japan Epoxy Resins Co., Ltd. (jER), the first epoxy resins manufacturer in Japan. Now it is positioned as one of the key business units in new MCC.
In this expo, MCC introduces its novel epoxy resins with special functionality - transparent type, film type and flexible type. Transparent type can maintain colorless transparency without yellowing over the time. Film type epoxy resin performs superior solvent resistance and heat resistivity, excellent electrical insulation, and good adhesion to metals. Flexible type is bendable and also enough elastic and stretchable even after curing. Our LED-lighting demonstrators made by direct printing of conductive inks upon these films will propose new possibilities in application of special epoxy resins.
Novel Epoxy Resins especially suitable for film and flexible substrates
MCC will introduce its novel epoxy resins with following properties, which will especially suitable for film/flexible substrate purpose.
1) Colorless clear transparent type (jER YX8000 series)
2) Flexible/soft type (jER YX71xx/74xx series)
3) High-Mw type (jER 1256, etc)
