Passive components
KOA will provide various demonstrations for the customers to comprehension of specific products.
We will introduce the fundamental technologies such as thick film and thin film forming technologies which were cultivated through product development. In addition, we will exhibit thick copper printed wiring board with high thermal conductance and high sensitivity thin film strain sensor as the application case.
Two types of demonstration, large panels of self-luminous LED type and projection type of Windgraphy (Wind visualization technology) using our unique wind sensor application will be introduced. We are also planning various staging applying our wind sensor which is called “Windgraphy open laboratory”. In this demonstration, customers are able to experience seeing the invisible wind.
We also have exhibits of new products, high current sensing solutions and tilt sensor modules.
We aim KOA’s products to become closer to business and various scenes of life by utilizing IoT/CPS.
High current shunt HS
Because of the electrification of automobiles and industrial equipment, the current became higher so the accurate sensing of high current has become more important. The High current shunt HS can be screwed on to a bus bar or cable and accurate sensing of high current is available under an environment of severe temperature change with moderate loss.
Ultra-small 0201 size chip resistor RK73 1D
Ultra-small chip resistors suitable for smartphones, wearable equipment and IoT end devices. The shape of the electrode is revised from the traditional 3-sided structure to 5-sided structure which the electrode is also formed on the lateral side. This structure will enhance the mounting stability and adhesion.
High precision voltage divider for high voltage sensing KPC-HVD
To enhance the efficiency of the electric motors for hybrid vehicles and electric vehicles, the electricity is stored in high voltage. Traditional voltage sensing uses multiple resistors but had challenges in mounting cost and mounting footprints. This newly developed KPC-HVD is a high precision divider that is able to sense high voltage up to 1000V with a single package. This contributes to the high density mounting and reduction of mounting cost.
