Smart Devices for the Authentication of Healthcare Insurance Qualification
Prior to the phased use of My Number Card(e-IDcard) at hospitals from FY2018, instead of usual health insurance certificates, we are developing smart devices which process PKI functions together with My Number Card of its own PKI, for medicine. As these smart devices support mutual authentication function which is provided by J-LIS(Japan Agency for Local Authority Information Systems) especially under off-line circumstances, patient qualification usability in hospitals can be improved significantly. We also engage in a prototype demonstration of the management service for personal life-time medical records applying this PKI transaction as a practical evidence.
