Kurimoto,LTD has contributed to a social infrastructure building and expansion of a lifeline and industrial facility for more than 100 years since foundation in 1909. We try to plan for fusion with nanotechnology as an enterprise of manufacturing in addition to those domains and invent new technology based on the technology grown up to now.
We'll submit SoftMRF which is the MR fluid(Magnetorheological fliud) to which an iron nanoparticle was applied in CEATEC JAPN 2016.
SoftMRF is possible to apply to the various applications, but in particular, We will exhibit the applicability to haptics devices mainly.

SoftMRF - Iron nanoparticles dispersed MR fluid -
SoftMRF is MR fluid(magnetorheological fluid) using an iron nanoparticle . When a external magnetic field is applied, the viscosity changes reversibly. The brake, the clutch and the various actuators were considered for which the viscosity change was used. SoftMRF can also excel long term stability, and it's possible to output more low speed and low torque in stability.
We'd like to apply this SoftMRF to presentation (haptics devices) and power tactile feedback of power sense of touch. It's difficult to take it by conventional MR fluids and motors, however the power sense of SoftMRF which is smooth and becomes stable is obtained.
We will be preparing demonstration's devices and we will be waiting for everybody's arrival. Please sense the smooth feeling.
