CEATEC JAPAN 2015 held CEATEC AWARD 2015 under this year's theme of "NEXT — Today’s Dreams, Future Realities” with the aim of contributing to the creation of markets and advancement of the IT and electronics industries. This press release announces the Grand Prix and Semi Grand Prix winners in each category decided through the rigorous scrutiny of the CEATEC AWARD panel of judges. The panel also decided on the Special Judges’ Award for a product strongly recommended.

This device uses 3D haptic technology to reproduce the variety of touch sensations that human beings feel, but reproduce them in empty space where there is nothing. Using 3 source elements of the touch sensation, this technology recreates the illusion in the brain of the feeling of force, such as pushing and pulling, or the resistive pressure sensation when pressing something hard, and the sense of touch with special vibration. This product holds the promise of application in a wide range of scenes and bringing great changes to human lifestyles.
