selected for Keynote Speaker at CEATEC 2019

The CEATEC Executive Board – consisting of the Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association, the Communications and Information Network Association of Japan, and the Computer Software Association of Japan – has announced that CEATEC 2019 will feature a keynote speech given by Mr. Ko Ishiyama, President & CEO of ExaWizards, on October 16th, the second day of the exhibition. Mr. Ishiyama is scheduled to talk under the theme Super-Aging Society – Japan as a Strategic Lab in the World. CEATEC 2019 is a comprehensive exhibition of Society 5.0, bringing together innovative CPS/IoT technologies from a wide range of businesses and industries. The exhibition will be held from October 15 (Tuesday) to 18 (Friday) at Makuhari Messe in Mihama-ku, Chiba-city.
CEATEC is strengthening its measures to co-create something new for the next generation, and as a part of the scheme, Mr. Ishiyama will be taking the rostrum at CEATEC Keynotes as someone who attracts attention as a next-generation executive.
In the event of selecting ExaWizards as one of the keynote speakers, Mr. Ishiyama commented: “Following our mission, ‘Solving social issues through Artificial Intelligence for future generations’, we execute social implementation utilizing AI in the areas such as Care, Medicine, HR, Robot, Finance, and Security. I would like to discuss what we can achieve in terms of “Care×AI” in Japan, which is said to be the first country becoming a super-aging society and gets the world’s attention as a strategic lab. Including the governmental Strategic Innovation Program, I will present the services that we provide.”
Mr. Ishiyama is a Visiting Professor at Shizuoka University and Visiting Associate Professor at the University of Tokyo. After serving as a Director at Recruit Institute of Technology and Executive Manager of R&D at Recruit Holdings, he founded a big data startup that creates aggregation services in support of marketing professionals and then sold it to Recruit Holdings, the parent company of indeed.com. Currently, he serves as a Representative Director & President of ExaWizards. Outside of work, he is an improvisational pianist and enjoys spending time with his wife.
The keynote speech is a part of CEATEC Keynotes, which is given by business leaders of various industries. Mr. Ishiyama’s keynote, which is a part of conferences, will be held at one of the convention halls in Makuhari Messe’s International Conference Hall from 14:45 (2:45PM) on Wednesday, October 16th.
