Utilizing Multi-Many-Core Processors in Embedded Systems - SHIM and Model-Based
Parallelization -

Although multi-many-core processors are desired in future embedded systems due to their high
power efficiency, there are two challenges: 1) tools to handle with a variety of parallel
architectures, and 2) parallelization techniques of software.In this talk, we present activities for them in the Embedded Multicore Consortium: 1) SHIM
(Software-Hardware Interface for Multi-many-core) and 2) model-based parallelization.

New Trends of the latest developments and industrial automation service of energy efficiency management

Cooperative control is control to realize energy saving by allowing supply side equipment to cooperate with each other and also to cooperate with the demand side in order to eliminate waste caused by oversupply and improve the efficiency on the supply equipment side in regards to the demand for utilities (e.g. power, steam, cold water and air). Energy saving for existing equipment is achieved trough this control. This talk will give an overview of the cooperative control that can be introduced in various forms and will then showcase these introduction examples.
