The popularity of this hands-on demonstration requires a 60 min wait

Epson Sales Japan present its “BT-200″ smart glasses released in June of this year for visitors to try out. This demonstration, which features a video of instructions on how to solve a Rubik’s cube, is proving to be very popular.

“Head-mounted devices such as Google Glass are coming onto the market, however at Epson, we have made the most of our advanced liquid-crystal projector technology to bring about the Moverio. The device also features the range of sensors usually supplied with smartphones and such, but only weighs 88 g compared to the 240 g of the BT-100 released in November 2011. Starting out with watches, which is a primary form of wearables, these product lineups convey and symbolize Epson’s technical thinking of low energy consumption, miniaturization and precision.” (Masato Kamoshita, Advertising and PR, Epson Sales Japan)

Looking through the glasses, a giant 320-inch screen appears 20 m in front of the viewer. The glasses feature ultra-compact projectors built into the temples, and adopt the Android 4.0 platform. With their cameras and sensors etc, the uses of these glasses seem limitless when combined with various applications.
