Commercial broadcasting in this format is scheduled to commence in 2018. With 4 times as many pixels as 4K broadcasting, the 8K format can deliver video expressiveness with unprecedented quality.
To meet Japan’s 8K commercial broadcasting planned to start in 2018, Sharp has developed this product to provide viewers the immersive experience of actually “being there” with its exciting and inspiring video.
