It also featured a theme plaza based on business trends such as M2M technologies and a BtoB zone presented by corporations and associations. Located next to the Life & Society and Key Technology stage, these suites attracted many business users as an area to energetically create businesses.

With the backing of The Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association, the IT and electronics and automotive industries deepened their partnerships through a special event "Smart Mobility Innovation 2012" with the theme of "new merging of cars and IT/electronics that will bring about smart lifestyles and the societies of the future." In this special exhibit, visitors were able to actually test drive electric vehicles and enjoy hands-on experience of the many innovations that have been born through the partnerships between the IT and electronics and the automotive industries.

Admission to the final day of the show on October 6th was free of charge for all visitors including children and students as well as business users who were unable to attend the show during the week. Many Saturday-only events were held such as Electronics Workshops for Junior and Kids, as well as Robot Programming Workshop.
