Laboratory of' Environment and Energy System for Cold Regions [LEES]
The aim of this laboratory is to contribute to the establishment of a sustainable society with main research focus on the development of environmental energy systems in cold snowy regions. This is done by transcending the fields of HUS' related departments, such as those dealing with mechanics, electricity, architecture and civil engineering. Research programs cover renewable forms of energy such as wind, solar power, and geothermal heat, energy conservation for buildings, and highly efficient energy utilization.
