CEATEC JAPAN celebrates its 19th anniversary this year. In announcing our transformation from a consumer electronics show in 2016, we made a firm commitment to become a comprehensive CPS/IoT exhibition, a driving force for social transformation. CEATEC JAPAN 2018 will be a global showcase for Japan’s growth strategies and Society 5.0, our vision of a super-smart community of the future in which IoT, robots and AI will all play important roles. As a forum for co-creation, CEATEC JAPAN 2018 is breaking down barriers by connecting policies, industries and technologies.
This year’s exhibition theme is “Connecting Society, Co-Creating the Future”, continuing on from 2016. In addition to IT and electronics, there will be finance, travel, toys, housing, machine tools, cars, construction & construction machinery, communications, agriculture and healthcare, among others. As many as 345 companies and organizations will be exhibiting for the first time, and visitors will be able to see a number of innovative new approaches to collaboration and co-creation that transcend industry barriers. Also new is the Co-Creation Park, designed to further strengthen global collaboration with the participation of many overseas exhibitors – 206 foreign companies/organizations from 19 countries, including startups and cutting-edge enterprises from the US, UK, France and India.
CEATEC JAPAN 2018 will be hosting a total of 725 companies/organizations, and offering more than 150 conferences. It will thus facilitate the creation of diverse new connections to help realize Society 5.0.
