The CEATEC Executive Board – comprised of the Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association, the Communications and Information Network Association of Japan, and the Computer Software Association of Japan – has announced that CEATEC 2020 ONLINE, which was held for four days from Tuesday October 20th has successfully concluded its “live show” with a total of 85,650 registered visitors. As a result of the online exhibition, a large number of visitors came to the exhibition over the course of several days, bringing the total number of visitors to more than 130,000. The exhibition will continue to accept new visitor registration and admission after the end of the live show, and exhibitors' booths will be available for viewing online until Thursday, December 31.
The total number of viewers attending conference sessions reached 105,210, which largely surpassed the viewers from CEATEC 2019 counting 28,228 in total. Some sessions drew more than 4,000 viewers in a single session, which was impossible to achieve at Makuhari Messe (with maximum capacity of 1,000), so organizers were able to make the most out of the advantages of being online. This year’s conference sessions, including the keynotes, will be streamed on-demand from Wednesday, October 28th at the CEATEC 2020 ONLINE site.
In January 2021, we are planning to announce the final total number of registered visitors who attended the CEATEC 2020 ONLINE including the on-demand streaming period until December 31st.
